Your data stays yours
Your ledger lives on your phone, or in your browser. It isn’t sent to us, and we have no copy of it. You can see all of it, export all of it and erase all of it, whenever you like. How Quilleaf keeps your money private
About
Your bank already tells you everything about your money. Quilleaf turns those messages into a clean passbook, without sending them anywhere.
Our story
Nearly every time money moves, your bank sends you an SMS. A spend on your card, a UPI payment, your salary, an EMI, a bill that’s due. Put together, those messages are a record of your money. But they scroll past in a busy inbox, between OTPs and offers, and they’re soon out of sight.
Quilleaf reads them on your phone and writes each one into the right account, like the passbook your bank once gave you, kept up to date for every account you have. Cards, cash, wallets, money lent, investments and shared expenses sit beside it.
Many money apps do this by collecting your data on their own servers. Quilleaf is made the other way round. There’s no Quilleaf account and no Quilleaf server that your ledger goes to, so your bank messages and your balances stay with you.
Quill + leaf. A quill is the pen that wrote the old account books. A leaf is a page of one. Together they’re the passbook: the little book your bank would print every deposit and withdrawal into, line by line.
Quilleaf is that passbook again, for every account you have. Only now, it writes itself.
Quilleaf used to be called Passbook. It’s the same app, with a name of its own.
Principles
Your ledger lives on your phone, or in your browser. It isn’t sent to us, and we have no copy of it. You can see all of it, export all of it and erase all of it, whenever you like. How Quilleaf keeps your money private
Quilleaf has no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and it’s free. Nobody’s data is sold or shared. We don’t have it to begin with.
Quilleaf only reads the alerts your bank already sends you. It never asks for your bank login, card number or UPI PIN, and it can’t move your money.
Everything in the Android app works without the internet. It goes online only for Google Drive backup, if you turn it on, and to check Google Play for updates.
More than 60 Indian banks, card issuers and wallets by name. UPI payments, rupees written the Indian way (₹1,23,456), and simple Hindi alerts. Plus the things Indian households keep track of: FDs, RDs, PPF and EPF, money lent to family, card EMIs paid for someone else, and the costs of a wedding or of building a house.
We tell you exactly what leaves your phone and when, and what Quilleaf can’t protect. If that ever changes, the privacy policy will say so before the app does it.
Quilleaf is built by an independent developer in India. When you write in, you’re writing to the person who makes it. Contact us
