These terms are for the Quilleaf Android app, the web app at app.quilleaf.com and this website. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. They’re short, so please read them.

1. Quilleaf is free

Quilleaf is free to use. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

2. It’s provided as it is

We work hard to make Quilleaf accurate and reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be right or always work. It’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

Reading bank SMS is done by the app on your phone, and some messages will be missed or misread. Banks change their message formats, and some messages are unclear. Check your entries against your bank and card statements, especially before you rely on a figure.

3. It’s not financial advice

Quilleaf helps you record and see your money. Budgets, “safe to spend”, investment values and returns, and who-owes-whom in groups are simple calculations from what’s in your ledger. They are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. For decisions that matter, talk to a qualified professional.

4. Your data is your responsibility

Your data lives on your device, not with us, so we can’t recover it for you.

  • Keep backups. Turn on Google Drive backup, or export your data now and then, and keep the files somewhere safe.
  • If you set a backup password, remember it. Without it, nobody can open those backups, including us.
  • Keep your phone locked. Use app lock if others use your phone.
  • Exports you make are yours to keep safe. An unencrypted export can be read by anyone who gets it.

5. Use it fairly

Use Quilleaf for your own records and within the law. Don’t use it to read messages on a phone that isn’t yours without its owner’s permission. Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the website or the web app.

6. Other services

Google Drive, Google sign-in and Google Play are Google’s services, under Google’s own terms. Our sites are delivered through Cloudflare. We’re not responsible for those services.

7. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of Quilleaf, including lost data, wrong entries, or decisions made using it.

8. Changes

We may update Quilleaf and these terms. When the terms change, we’ll publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Quilleaf after that, you accept the new terms.

9. Indian law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
